Here’s how the scheme works - and how to apply for your free loan laptop.
First, check that you meet the requirements of the scheme. You’ll need to be self-employed, running a micro-business that started up in the last 6 months or planning to start a home-based concern in North Norfolk.
If this sounds like you, contact us to request an application pack. If in doubt - apply anyway, or give us a call!
Once you are accepted onto the scheme, you’ll sign a contract with us about the use of your laptop for your business and take delivery of your laptop.
After that, we will work with you to ensure that you have all the knowledge and skills you need to get the most out of ICT for your business. Some training can be done from home by using your Broadband connection (if available), webcam and microphone to link up with your trainer and perhaps other people on the scheme (don’t worry if this technology sounds unfamiliar to you - we’ll give you advice and training in how to do it, with user-friendly Flashmeeting software).
